**Nashville Yacht Club Band, aka NYCB, is an 8-piece live celebration of the smooth, soulful, feel-good sounds of the ’70s and ’80s.** More than a Yacht Rock tribute, NYCB is a love letter to the music that made the era unforgettable, blending yacht rock classics with vintage AM Gold, roller disco, R&B, and the dance-floor staples that still get people moving today. With powerhouse vocals, meticulous arrangements, and world-class musicianship, NYCB delivers a polished show that feels nostalgic without ever feeling stuck in the past. The goal is simple: get people smiling and dancing.
One of the country’s premier Yacht Rock tribute bands, NYCB has taken its signature sound from coast to coast, performing at corporate galas, luxury resorts, private estates, casinos, nightclubs, festivals, performing arts centers, country clubs, and destination weddings. Whether the setting is elegant or all-out, the band turns the room into a full-blown party.
**2026 has been a breakout year for NYCB.** The band has performed in direct support of Keith Urban, Flo Rida, Old Dominion, and Grand Funk Railroad, and was mentioned in *Rolling Stone* in its coverage of Nashville’s growing Yacht Rock resurgence. NYCB previously performed alongside Pablo Cruise at the 2019 IEBA conference and continues to anchor residencies at some of Nashville’s most sought-after venues.
Made up largely of former New York City touring musicians now based in Nashville, NYCB brings serious pedigree to the stage. Collectively, its members have performed and toured with The Waterboys, Augustana, Blue Man Group, Carly Simon, Adrian Belew, Cory Wong, Maren Morris, Jennifer Nettles, Terence Trent D’Arby, Colin Hay, Dustin Lynch, Christopher Cross, Brandy Clark, and many more.
“We’re all (mostly) in our 30s and 40s now, so this is very much a musical love letter to the joyful music playing in the car when we were growing up,” says guitarist and bandleader Jay Barclay. “We’ve carefully curated a perfect mixtape to keep everyone smiling and lost on the dance floor for hours. People feel happy at our shows, and that’s so great. It’s evocative and nostalgic, for sure, but the songs hold up. We started this band for fun. Now it’s the best job in the world.”
