Nashville Yacht Club Band—aka NYCB—is a dynamic 8-piece tribute to the golden pop and R&B sounds of the 1970s and ’80s. Delivering dazzling, note-perfect renditions of the smooth hits you know and love, the band curates a feel-good journey through vintage AM Gold, roller disco anthems, and timeless dance floor staples. Brought to life by some of Music City’s most compelling players and vocalists, every performance is equal parts nostalgia and celebration.

With a hard-earned reputation as one of the premier Yacht Rock tribute acts in the country, NYC has taken its signature “smooth spell” from coast to coast—lighting up corporate galas, luxury resorts, private estates, and everything in between. From grand casinos and packed nightclubs to festivals, performing arts centers, country clubs, and tropical destination weddings, the band’s infectious energy and expert delivery turn any setting into a full-blown dance party—every single time.

Made up largely of former New York City touring musicians now based in Nashville, NYC brings a world-class pedigree to the stage. Collectively, its members have performed across the globe alongside artists such as The Waterboys, Augustana, Blue Man Group, Carly Simon, Adrian Belew, Corey Wong, Jennifer Nettles, Terence Trent D’Arby, Colin Hay, Dustin Lynch, Ben Kweller, Passenger, Jo Dee Messina, Christopher Cross, Brandy Clark, and many more. The band has shared bills with acts like Pablo Cruise at IEBA 2019 and continues to anchor residencies at some of Nashville’s most sought-after venues.​

"We're all (mostly) in our 30s and 40s now, so this is very much a musical love letter to the joyful music playing in the car when we were growing up," says guitarist and bandleader Jay Barclay. "We've carefully curated a perfect mixtape to keep everyone smiling and lost on the dance floor for hours. People feel happy at our shows, and that's just so great. It's evocative and nostalgic, for sure, but the songs hold up! We started this band for fun, now it's the best job in the world."
